Track My Trades

All It Took Was 1 Mustard Seed...
The Rest Was History In The Making

Trading a seed is harder than it looks!

Why you might ask?
  • First of all, people thought I was copy-catting this guy. If that would have been the case, I would not have gone to the trouble of writing out all this. Mr. Kyle MacDonald and I have actually had a handful of conversations on the phone and exchanged emails. He knows where I stand and the reason why I am doing this project and the differences between mine and his.
  • Who tries to take a seed and turn it into something beyond belief? Me! If you have a passion or dream, why the heck not jump out into the unknown and take some risks.
  • People thought it was a joke! That of course led to me getting flagged on Craigslist ALOT!

Did you know that a mustard seed represents faith?
  • Having faith in a God that you can not see is pretty hard to wrap your mind around. This project is also hard to wrap your mind around. There have been things in my life that I have seen, that without a shadow of a doubt, not one person can tell me that there is not a God out there that is above all Gods.
  • ....if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 You don't have to have your life all together to follow Jesus. He takes you where you are. None of us are perfect. It's not about whether or not you have enough faith, it's about knowing that He can, when you can't. He is always faithful. He is always there even when we do not see it. Life does bring challenges, and those challenges will make you stronger, building Perseverance, Character, and Hope.
  •  There have been times in my life that I felt like I had little to no faith in God, but it was times like this where God was most at work in my life. I didn't know that I would be where I am today while I was going through all the crud I was experiencing.
  • There were other times that I wanted to forget trying to follow God and do my own thing. That didn't work out too well for me. During those times though, there was a still small voice inside of me that said you are going to make it and get through this. I held onto that belief and it was not long after that I was able to come through the storm I was experiencing.

I'm taking the above verse literally

Why can't I watch 1 tiny mustard seed turn into $95,000 over the course of 3 years? It may or may not work, but at least I tried, and that is what is important. I'm trying something that seems impossible.

Thank you for checking out TMOOD, I hope you enjoy!

On December 4th 2010, I marched into Whole Foods at 41st and Peoria in
Tulsa, Oklahoma and found the manager to convince him of my project.

My box of "Spicely Yellow Mustard Seeds" that Whole Foods Tulsa gave me!
Some of my thoughts on the project and what all this means to me.
And as I promised, here is their shout out!

I picked up that little vial you see at Hobby Lobby on the doll aisle.
I had to have something to put the seed in!
